If You live in Indonesia and want to spent quite a premium (30-35k USD) on small European hatchback, there's so many car to choose from.
There's VW Scirocco 1.4 and Golf 1.4, Audi A1 1.6, Renault Clio EDC200 and base Renault Megane, BMW 120i, Mercedes-Benz A200, Citroen DS3, Peugeot 208 GTI, Fiat 500 Arbath, Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.6, and of course, base Mini Cooper.
Seriously, even i'm struggle to pick which one is the best. But if i'm in a market for a hatchback, i'll buy the Giulietta, no doubt. How about you?

It's the same here in Brazil (30-35k) for a "Premium" hatchback. But we get less choices. I'd probably go with the A200 or 500 Abarth.

Interesting choice on A200. I only interested in the A if it's an A45.

Granted I would never buy a new one, I'd probably buy a 2007 S500L for that price (like my mom did) but value for money the A200 seems like the best option.

Interesting as well, since my father own a S600L.
For me..
If i had to buy new, Giulietta is the best. Best looking, quite powerful, sounds beautiful as well. And it's an Alfa.

Alfa gave up on the Brazilian market during the 90's so no Giulietta for us (it's the reason I hate modern day Fiat). Now that I think about, my choice for city driving would probably be the Lexus CT200h, luxury in small shape.

I would love a CT200h as well, great looking car, but it's very expensive in here, on par with M135i/Golf R/Scirocco R/Megane RS/Giulietta QV.
Now that's a hard choice.

Huh, what is the price for those? Say the M135i and the CT200h.

Yeah.
CT200h F-Sport, 55,440USD.
Base M135i, 60,376 USD.

For us it is 45k for the Lexus and 65k for the M135i base. Weird.

Toyota/Lexus Indonesia is an Asshole. GT86 is 55k in Here.
Now i wonder, how much is your Citroen?
The C5 with 1.6T and Hydractive (the only one you can buy) is 57,720 USD. Or about the same as Camry Hybrid.

We get nothing here, we don't get the C5 anymore since 2011 or the GT86. Toyota is a dick everywhere, how much is a Diesel Fortuner there? Here the 7 seater Diesel is 62k for that plasticky mess.

Oh, that's a sad.
In Indonesia we got the Citroen C3, C5, DS3, and DS5. I never saw the C3 or C5 outside the dealership, but i do once saw the DS3 and DS5 on the street. It's not pretty, but it looks like how a Citroen should look like.
Fortuner Diesel is about 36,960 USD with all option checked. I tought the Fortuner is all 7-seaters..
62k will get you a Mazda CX-9, or heck, nicely optioned GLA200/BMW X1 2.0.

We get the C3, C4 Lounge, DS3, DS4 and DS5. The C3 I see a lot but most people are getting 208s instead.
We don't have Mazda either.

208, i rarely seen those thing.
Seriously the last popular french car in here i think was the Peugeot 206. Although now the 308SW and RCZ is quite common, but i doubt it'll be more popular than the 206.
That's sad. We have Mazda, all of them, except the kei car and the Mazda 5.
So there's the 2, 3, 6, 8, MX-5, VX-1, and Biante.

I have only seen one RCZ, they are way too expensive for the general public and we don't get the 308 anymore. Many VW Up have been sold, Brazil is cheap car country.

Well, the RCZ is doing well in the place i live. It was expensive at first (80k USD), but then Peugeot realize 80 is stupid and priced it just on the price of the Cooper S, so not very expensive.
You got the UP! ? I'm jealous. We only got the Golf, Polo, Scirocco, Tiguan, Caravelle, Phaeton, and Touareg.
